Watauga Dog Park

This Watauga Dog Park is a members-only dog park. To apply for a pass you need proof of vaccinations, complete an application and pay an annual fee. More information regarding these passes can be found on the humane society website, and you can complete the form and receive your pass at the humane society located near the park. 

For those traveling through or not likely to visit often, a $5 for a day pass can be acquired. There is a maximum of two dogs per owner, and each of these canines must pay a separate fee. The annual cost for a single canine at this dog park is $50. Benches are available at this park for seating; they can be found at the entrance to each of the sections and along the fences of the park. 

Some are placed under trees which provide some lovely shade for the patrons of the dog park. This park is pretty large in comparison to other city dog parks. The land here totals about four acres. However, that is split into three separate sections for canines of different sizes. That being said, there is still plenty of space in any of the parts for even the most energetic canines to wear themselves out. 

Games like frisbee and fetch can be played at the Watauga Dog Park as there is plenty of space to run. The humane society maintains this dog park, and they do a good job. It stays very clean, the grounds here remain cut regularly, and the grass remains in good shape through the spring and summer months. 

The Watauga Dog Park makes for a great place to bring the most energetic of canines for socialization and to give your canine some exercise. They are sure to leave this dog park worn out and have enjoyed their stay. Water is available here for your canine to stay hydrated, but remember to bring your bowl like the ones here can get quite crowded during the high traffic times.
