West Grove Dog Park (at Goddard Park)

The West Grove Dog Park at Goddard Park is a great place to let your dog run around and make new friends. The fenced in dog park has plenty of space for dogs to get exercise and be playful. The park also provides a water station area to help keep your dog hydrated. The open space doesn’t have trees and lacks shade but is great for dogs that need a large open space to run free. 

There is a separate area for large and small dogs to enjoy their freedom. All dogs that enter the park need to have vaccinations and licenses. This requirement is mandatory to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all dogs. Dog owners are encouraged to keep their dog on a leash until they enter the dog park area. Owners can bring along a ball, Frisbee, or toy to play fetch with their dog. However, avoid bringing your dog’s favorite toy, treats, or food since most dogs are territorial over their possessions. 

Pet parents have standing room only while their dog is in the park. You can bring along a lawn chair for added comfort but it needs to be placed outside of the dog park fence. Owners are encouraged to bring portable water bowls for their dogs if they don’t want their dog sharing water sources with others. 

Pet parents are encouraged to keep the park clean with complimentary waste bags and conveniently placed trash cans. The dog park is open all year and is a great place for your dog to run around in the snow during winter or the grass during summer. The park offers a separate trail for hikers of all skill levels and welcomes dogs to join their owners only if they are on a leash. The park has future plans to add family-oriented features that dogs can also enjoy.
