White Oak Dog Park

The White Oak Dog Park is a fenced dog park in the city of McKeesport. This is a dedicated dog park that welcomes canines to play off their leash. The fence is high enough that even the best runners and jumpers will not be able to get out.

Several amenities are available at this dog park. You will find doggie bags available as well as garbage bins for you to dispose of them. Pavilions and a few trees provide some shade and there are benches scattered throughout the park. The grounds are well maintained and part of the park is a grassy surface while another section is mulch.

The mulched area is the smaller fenced in section of the park. This section especially can get muddy if it rains. The amount of space this park provides is quite great, though your canine should remain in sight wherever they go.

To go to this dog park your canine must be vaccinated and licensed. The verification of the license and vaccination will come in the form of tags that must be worn and visible around the canine's neck at all times. These can be acquired from various places around the city and more information can be found on their website.

The dog park section comes to about 2-acres; however, dogs are allowed on the greater section of the park provided they remain on a leash. The greater section of the park comes out to around 800 acres. Features everything from hiking to playgrounds, sports parks, biking trails and much more. 

Your canine is not allowed on the sports fields or inside any of the facilities. You will want to bring your own dog bowl outside of the dog park. Water is available however it is not at dog height unless you are within the confines of the dog park. Overall White Oak is a great place to bring your canine and spend a few hours.
