Windemere Dog Park

The Tassajara Ridge Staging Area in San Ramon, California has gone to the dogs… literally! It’s here that you can find the Windemere Dog Park. This dog park is set in the Tassajara Hills, on the eastern edge of the suburbs of San Ramon. This park provides a safe place for local pups to enjoy some pawsitive socialization, and glorious off-leash freedom. This will help keep your fur-baby’s physical and mental health in tip top shape!

You can find Windemere Dog Park right next to where the Tassajara Ridge Trail begins. This nearby trail welcomes leashed dogs, and provides some more options if you and your pupper would like to continue the adventure and explore the surrounding hills. 

The dog park is fully enclosed with a chain fence ensure optimum safety for your best pal. There are even two separate areas, one for small breeds and another for the bigger guys. The surface is sand, so it dries fairly quickly after the rain. Some other features include benches and a shelter where you can catch up with the other pet parents, doggy waste bags, and doggy drinking fountains. All you need to bring is your dog’s favorite ball or frisbee! The dog park can be quiet at times, but even if there aren’t any other playmates, after a good game of fetch you’re guaranteed a tuckered out pup.

At the Tassajara Ridge Staging Area you’ll find plenty of free, nearby parking. There are no restrooms within in the dog park, but there are porta-potties near the start of the trail in the parking lot.

Dog’s are welcome to play in freedom here as long as you follow a few simple ground rules. Please make sure your doggo stays leashed when not within the fenced off area, and is always picked up after. Keep an eye on your pup to make sure they are playing well with others.
