Poop bags are available here for your convenience, garbage cans are emptied regularly, and the park maintains the property well. There are some large trees that provide a decent amount of shade for the patrons of the Wisner Dog Park. This is great news during those hot, sunny Louisiana days.

The ground can get quite muddy during and after heavy rainfall, but you can always wash your canine off on your way out of the park. If you are a resident of the nearby area or visiting New Orleans with your canine, there are few options for canines to be able to run and play. 

The Wisner Dog Park is one of the larger locations available. Some parking can be found on the adjacent streets at no cost. This park is not lit and therefore closes at sunset. With your few options available at New Orleans, this one is certainly one of your best options!
