In the busy Pleasant Grove neighborhood of Dallas, just east of downtown, Crawford Memorial Park is a sight for sore eyes. This expansive developed park has something in it for everyone, but what your doggo in particular will love is the lengthy Crawford Memorial Park Loop Trail. This trail is a must to add to your route on your morning walk with Fifi!
A large, free parking lot can be found by the city office buildings on Cedarcliff Drive, which enters from the north of the park on Elam Road. Here you can unload your doggos, make sure they’re leashed up, and start your journey!
The Crawford Memorial Park Loop Trail is 2 miles long, entirely within the 266 acre Crawford Memorial Park. It’s even and paved, making it wheelchair accessible and a comfortable trail for people and pups of all fitness levels. This two mile loop passes through well-shaded areas, making it an ideal location for some exercise. Whether you want to go for a heart-pumping jog or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll with your best pal, this is a woofderful option.
Along your travels, you’ll pass by a variety of athletic fields and open grassy areas. There are also some benches and picnic tables where you can take a break and enjoy the views, or even a picnic lunch. Don’t forget the biscuits for your good dog! Some other features in this park include grills, drinking fountains, and playgrounds.
Doggos are more than welcome to join their humans along the trails in this park, and might even be able to make some furry friends! Please ensure that your pupper is leashed and picked up after at all times.
