Description
Feel like a hiking adventure just might be in order? Bring Fido and the fam to hike the Jones Bridge Park Trail. It's a pawsome place to spend the day! This 4.6 mile loop trail follows the trajectory of the pawsitively stunning Chatahootchee River. It is considered a moderate hike and is known for being incredibly scenic. This pawrific hiking hotspot welcomes pooches with open paws, but you will need to bring a leash and keep Fido on it at all times.

You will find the trailhead just outside the northern section of the parking lot in the Chatahootchee National Recreation Area. As you move in an eastern direction, you and your best canine pal will come across a stream which leads to the remains of the old Jones Bridge. Though once a spot of great historic significance, very little is left of the old bridge with most having sunk into Johns Creek. As you travel downstream, you will encounter some stunning whitewater rapids and enjoy viewing the heavily forested areas which are home to both wildlife and wildflowers.

This wooftastic trail is the pawrfect place for hiking, biking, or trail running. If you enjoy watching birds in their natural habitat, you will find plenty of them to view here. Bring along your camera to capture the interesting species you encounter along your hike.

You'll want to be sure to bring along some drinking water and cleanup bags to Jones Bridge Park Trail. While you are at it, pack some snacks, so you and your pooch can enjoy some refreshments to charge your batteries before heading out on your next leg of the trail.

This woofderful trail offers lots of pawrking, so you won't need to arrive early to get a pawsome spot. It is unknown if any bathrooms are housed on the grounds for the pawblic to use.

If you're looking for your next great hiking adventure, you will find what you seek at Jones Bridge Park Trail. Plan a visit there today!
