There is not much you can say to your pup when they are standing at the door, with their leash ready, except, “Let’s go outside!” Make this adventure a pawticularly perfect one by heading to the Kiest Park Trails in the city of Dallas, Texas. You will find them located in Kiest Park in the Oak Cliff area of town. Parking is available in the on-site parking lot.
Kiest Park offers 176 acres of land to explore with many amenities to suit everyone. Fido will want to take a walk on the loop trail which meanders throughout the park, giving you a total of 2.2 miles to hike. No matter what fitness level your furry friend is, they will be able to enjoy this trail. It is almost completely flat with only a 52-foot elevation change throughout the entire distance. There is also a conservation trail which offers a shorter jaunt through the forest with a natural footing any pup would love. Perfect for the beginner pup-hiker, this trail is easy to navigate. The longer trail offers views of the park and is a nature-lover’s paradise, with lots of bird watching spots to fill your camera with memories! Take time to offer Fido a rest on the benches that dot the landscape.
The park’s other amenities include a kiddie playground, fitness center, sports fields and courts and a lovely picnic area, just to name a few. Outdoor restrooms are on site, as well as drinking fountains. Bring your furry friend’s bowl so that you can offer them plenty to drink, especially during the warm-weather months, as well as clean up bags.
The Kiest Park Trails is a great outing for you and your pawtastic pup to enjoy together in the city of Dallas.
