The trail resides in the larger part of Bachman Lake Park, where hikers can park in the parking lot on the northern side of the park. The parking lot connects to the trail on the east side of the lot, where it winds through park amenities first, such as restrooms, a playground, a picnic area, water fountains, and clean-up stations for pups. The trail then winds down until it meets the edge of the lake, where it begins to wind around through the park.
Trees scarcely line the trail, offering small amounts of shade where you can sit, rest, and view the lake. On both sides of the trail are plenty of green grass and open areas to walk Fido or take a break. Continuing along the trail, you'll cross over a bridge that passes over the lake, and pass access to three different fishing piers, and a boat launch. On the last mile of the trail, you'll pass through a small urban area with a factory on the south side of the trail, and over a second bridge that crosses the Bachman Branch Creek. Once surrounded by green lawns again of the park, the trail makes its final stretch before reconnecting with the entrance and ending at the park's parking lot.
This city park trail is a beautiful option to take Fido out to, thanks to it's gorgeous views and additional amenities that are dog-friendly. The Bachman Lake Trail will be sure to offer the right amount of one-on-one time with your pup.
