Description

The Kitty Dill Memorial Parkway Trail is a 3.75-mile loop that connects five local parks throughout West Point, Mississippi. More than 10,000 people live in West Point, and this charming city is known for its southern hospitality and a variety of fun events it hosts throughout the year. The Kitty Dill Memorial Parkway Trail is just one pawesome way to get to know the city with your dog on a leash!

You and your dog can complete this trail in under two hours, not including stops. The trail runs along what was once the C&G Railroad. It's one of 1,600 trails that were created from formerly abandoned railway lines that were converted into paths for the public to enjoy.

The Kitty Dill Memorial Parkway Trail is an easy trek, and the surface is paved, which also makes it an ideal place for inline skaters, cyclists, and joggers to explore. There's no fee for parking to access the trail, and it's open all day, 365 days a year.

You and your dog will experience a variety of natural features during your trek. You'll cross lighted walkways, open fields where your dog can run around, gardens and other landscaped grounds, fountains, windmills, and much more. Those with a keen eye will also spot native hardwood trees surrounding the path in some areas. There are also benches and picnic tables lining the route, so if you'd like to take a break at any point, there are lots of places to do so.

There's no drinking water along the trail, so be sure to bring a bowl and some water for your pet. There are garbage bins along the trail, but visitors must provide their own doggie bags.

You and your pup are going to have so much fun exploring West Point via the Kitty Dill Memorial Parkway Trail!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
