A pawtastic adventure awaits you and your fur-ever friend at the Little Mulberry Park Trail in the city of Auburn, Georgia, located in the north-central portion of the state. This is a perfect hiking spot for you and Fido to enjoy and spend some quality time together.
The trail begins in Little Mulberry Park which comprises 892 acres, and meanders throughout for 13 miles. It is a shared-use trail for walkers, hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders, with something for everyone! Here you will be able to explore meadows, forests and open spaces. The trail will take you though the Karina Miller Nature Preserve, which offers 200 acres of scenic beauty, and then continues around Miller Lake.
You can rest assured that your pup will enjoy taking a hike on this paved path, which is perfect for any fitness level and is also suitable for those pups that are not so spry any longer. Go for a short stroll or hike the entire length.Â
The park offers restrooms and drinking fountains and plenty of benches to rest your weary toes and paws! You can even bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park before or after your hike, or take it to the lake and eat it there! Don’t forget to take a minute to relax at the overlook site, offering spectacular views of the entire area.
Since this is a multi-use trail, it is advised to keep your pup on leash, but you can use an extended one through the meadow so your pup can get in a bit of running or rolling in the grass. Hop back on the trail and make your way to the lake where pup can cool his paws in the dog days of summer!Â
Little Mulberry Park Trail will not disappoint your hike-loving pup!
