The Preston Ridge Trail will take you on a 6.3-mile journey through a bit of Dallas, ending at the city limits of Plano. You will have a great time meandering along this paved trail, which is perfect for any pup-ability. The path is wide enough to accommodate foot and bicycle traffic, with benches strategically placed along the way for relaxing a bit and giving your furry friend a chance to cool down from those hot, summer days under the shade of the many trees planted that dot the path. As the trail continues along, it passes through Fretz Park, Salado Park, and Campbell Green Park, which also offer other access points and parking areas. And for an extended hike, you can pick up the Cottonwood Creek Trail which will take you into the downtown area of Dallas.

Be sure to bring your own water bottles to share between you. There are dog clean-up stations placed on the trail, so make use of those to keep this hike pawtastic for everyone to enjoy. There are no restroom facilities along the trail, but you can find them in the parks the trail passes through.
