Description

You don't have to take a hike to enjoy walking your dog on a trail! Roby Trail is located in Champaign, Illinois's Robeson Park. The trail, which is nearly a mile-and-a-half long, is perfect for quick, casual walks with your canine companion. The entire length of the trail is paved, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Roby Trail offers plenty of amenities for you and Fido. Restrooms are conveniently located near the trail, so you won't need to worry if nature calls. An abundance of trees provide shade, so you can be pawsitive that your dog's paws won't get burnt. There are trash bins nearby as well, so while you will need to bring along waste baggies to clean up after your dog, you won't need to worry about where to toss them once you're done.

Since the trail is located in a public park, Fido will need to remain on their leash at all times. Failure to comply could result in you and your pal being asked to leave. Along those same lines, you can expect to see other people and pups there, so if your dog isn't the most sociable, you'll want to come when the park is less busy; we suggest going early in the morning or later in the evening.

Parking is plentiful and free, and the beginning of Roby Trail is conveniently located right next to the parking lot.

One final thing to be aware of is that this trail is out-and-back. If you continue past the end point of Roby Trail, you'll actually end up on another trail, the Simon Trail. We don't mind if you don't, and we're certain Fifi wouldn't object, either.

Please remember to clean up after your pup; we're sure no other people or pets enjoying the trail want to step in anything left behind.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
