The main trail in Trailhead Park is a 4.5 mile out and back trail, and can be found just behind Trailhead Park's recreational attractions. Just walk past the pavillon, basketball and volleyball courts, and you will find what you are looking for! There is no sign marking the trail at this time.
The first part of the trail is paved, but this section soon turns to a dirt and grass path. At the very beginning of this trail, you will find a fork that moves towards the right. Stay to the left to continue along the main trail. Once you reach the dirt and grass stretch of the trail, you will discover some of the most woofderfully scenic parts of this path. You will find the first mile of the trail is a steady incline, but it is not a difficult climb. This section also meanders along a creek. Overall, the trail can be rocky in spots, but it is an easy hike and is suited to people and pups of all skill levels.
You will need to bring drinking water and cleanup bags with you as none are provided here. There is a bench at the very beginning of the trail, but none throughout the path. Due to the furrifically abundant tree cover, there is lots of shade to keep you and your pooch protected against sunburn on your hike. There are picnic tables available for the pawblic to use in the central grass area of the park. The upper portion of the trail which contains some waterfalls is a wooftastically tranquil spot to visit. Please keep Fido leashed in all areas of Trailhead Park.
