The village of Lewiston has a mixture of green spaces, residential areas, and its main retail strip on Center Street. Toohey Park is a small park and playground within the village itself which provides plenty of space to walk or run with a dog. There isn't much shade in the park, so be prepared with sunscreen and water and keep your dog off of the pavement and sidewalks in hot weather. 

Lewiston Landing Park is right on the Niagara River with a fabulous view of the water. Walking on the boardwalk is a perfect cool-down on a warm day. A short drive away is the Lewiston Dog Park. At slightly over an acre, the park has a separately fenced section for small dogs, benches, agility play equipment, and a dog fountain, although trees and shade are limited. Waste bags are available as is parking. The view of the sunset from the park is an invigorating way to end an evening!
