Eukanuba was established in 1969. The man behind the brand, Paul Iams, was actually responsible for creating the IAMS dog food brand more than 20 years earlier. Eukanuba’s most recent recall occurred in 2013 when Procter & Gamble voluntarily recalled Eukanuba and IAMS dry food due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected products were manufactured over a 10-day period, but no related cases of illness were reported.
