North Washington Street

The North Washington Street neighborhood includes apartments, single-family homes, and a manufacturing plant. There are sidewalks in the residential areas here where you and fido can take a walk around the block together. A lovely place to get some exercise and fresh air with your furry friend is at Canal Park located off Rhineland Trail. This facility has RV camping sites, hiking trails, and picnic areas. Walk along the water with your canine pal or enjoy a meal outdoors here. Dogs are welcome to accompany you as long as they're on a leash. Bring waste bags to clean up any messes.

Carroll

Carroll, located in the southern part of the city, is a largely residential area with private homes, an apartment complex, and public schools. There are some peaceful neighborhood loops here that are furrific for a daily stroll with your pup. If you're looking for a spot to get some fresh air, head to Riley Park off Riley Road just east of Washington Street. This facility has athletic fields, a walking track, picnic areas, and a suspension bridge. Hike or jog around the cinder pathway with your four-footed pal. Remember to keep your fur baby on a leash and to clean up after him.

East Delphi

East Delphi is a residential community with a church and a few small businesses. You and your pooch will be able to take a walk through the neighborhood here. When you want to hike or jog through nature with your pup, check out the Monon High Bridge Trail. You can connect to this 1.5-mile out-and-back pathway off Old Camden Road and head east. Walk through the woods and past farmland as you follow Deer Creek to the bridge crossing. Dogs are allowed to join you here, provided that you keep them on a leash. Bring water and waste bags with you.

Deer Creek Border

The Deer Creek Border neighborhood includes the downtown area with commercial and historic sections as well as some residential streets. There are sidewalks throughout the area where you and your fur baby can go for a stroll. A fun way for you and your pooch to get some fresh air and exercise here is to follow the Downtown Loop Trail through the historic district. Take a walk with your special pal past the shops and restaurants around Delphi Courthouse Square. Make sure you keep Spot on a leash and under your control. Bring waste bags and immediately clean up any droppings.

Mill Street

Around Mill Street on the west side of town, there are single-family homes, some businesses, and a few farms. From here, you're just minutes from the VanScoy Towpath Trail, located along the Wabash and Erie Canal. Take your four-footed buddy hiking along the water to get some fresh air and exercise. Connect to the Obear Millrace Loop Trail to make a loop that's just over a mile and a half. Enjoy the scenic views of the historic district and the Wabash River from here. You can bring dogs on a leash with you here as long as you clean up after them.
