Downtown Haubstadt
You and Fido will enjoy spending the day at the Haubstadt Community Park on West Gibson Street. Take a walk around the perimeter of the park while your pooch sniffs the trees and rolls in the grass. The kids can hang out at the playground, or throw a ball on the baseball or softball diamond. There are picnic shelters where you can enjoy a bottle of water and give your pup a rest. Adventurous pup parents will love camping at the Weather Rock Campground off Highway 41. You will need to keep your pup on a leash when walking around, and bring your own doggie waste bags.

Inglefield
If you are traveling south to Evansville, plan to stop off in the town of Inglefield. You can check out Spudz N Stuff where you can order one of over thirty baked potatoes, Philly Cheesesteaks, or Buffalo and Greek wraps. You and Fido can relax at the outdoor table and enjoy lunch together with friends. When looking for a pup-friendly place to stay, Super 8 allows two pups for an additional fee. You can also check out Red Roof Inn where your pup can spend the night for no additional fee, or Comfort Inn which offers several pet-friendly rooms. Baymont Inn & Suites is another option and your pup will feel right at home with plenty of space to relax and an open field to take a walk.

Elberfeld
About eight miles east of Haubstadt, the Lost Hill Wetland is located in the town of Elberfeld. This is a large woodland area where you can explore with your pooch and get some exercise. Fido will love sniffing the trees and plants which are maintained by the State of Indiana. You will need to keep your pooch on a leash while you hike through the area, and be sure to bring some water bottles. If you want to learn more about native plants and animals, you will love spending time here with your pup.

Jacobsville
About twenty minutes south of Haubstadt, Central Bark at Kleymeyer Park is a pawsome dog park where your pooch can play. The dog park offers benches and lights so you can let your pup play any time of the day. Fido will have a blast running around sniffing the trees and showing off his skills on the agility equipment. There are three different fenced in areas for all size dogs, and each area offers a place for pup parents to sit, relax, and chat with friends. You will need to purchase a membership to the park, but Fido’s happiness is worth the money.
Northwest Lynnville
When traveling about twenty miles east of Haubstadt, pups can have a great time at the Interlake State Recreation Area. This is a former coal mine which has been made into a multi-use area for recreation. You can bring your ATV and give your pooch a ride, or hike along the trails and visit one of the 17 lakes. There is plenty of grass where your pooch can play, and a picnic area where you can have some lunch. There are different trails for all skill levels and your pooch will have a pawtastic time running through the trees and plants.
