Jonesboro Rd/ Natchitoches St

Near the Ouachita River, Lazarre Park is a great place to walk Fido and spend time with the family. Teenagers will enjoy the disc golf course, and puppy parents can walk their pooch along the river while the kids play. You can sit on a bench and watch the boats, or admire the wildlife around the park. If your pooch needs some exercise, he can chase a ball in the open areas. The dog park is located towards the back of the main park, and features water fountains and waterfalls. Puppy parents can relax on the shaded benches while the pups run around sniffing butts and chasing toys. If your pooch loves the water, there is access to a fenced pond where your pup can cool off on a warm afternoon. After spending time in the dog park, go for a stroll along the nature trails or let the kids run around at the playground in Kiroli Park. Monroe Garden District

A fun destination for pups and humans is the Forsyth Park on Forsyth Avenue.
