This residential community in St. Louis is just 15 minutes away, and is accessible from Interstate 44, Gravois Avenue, and the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Water Tower Dog Park at Compton Hill Reservoir Park is a membership-only, fenced-in, off-leash dog park that ensures the safety and health of your pup! Tower Grove Park is a clean dog park that invites all dogs to play on-leash and socialize with other local pooches in a scenically beautiful space. The annual Strut Your Mutt event is held at Tower Grove Park to help raise money for homeless, abused and neglected animals in the local community.36

St. Louis is one of the most well-known cities in Missouri that is easily accessible from Interstate 70, 44, 55, and 64, and just 12 miles from University City! Glasgow Village, just under 25 minutes away from University City, offering scenic views of the Mississippi River and the Missouri/Illinois state border. The Bellefontaine Conservation Area rests on 133 acres of beautiful, untouched land, providing visitors access to fun activities like fishing and hiking. Dogs that are kept on leash are free to explore hiking paths with their owners. However, be advised they are prohibited from going into the water. The Old Chain of Rocks Bridge is a multi-use pathway that is part of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy project that repurposes old railroads and corridors into useable trails.
