St Louis Hills
Just three to four miles northeast from Wilbur Park, you and Fido will be able to enjoy a pawtastic park. Take your special pal to Wilmore Park along the river to walk or jog the trails in the 105-acre park. The paths wind around two lakes, ball fields, pavilions and more. Bring along some lunch and enjoy a picnic in the park. After you and your pup spend some time together, take him over to the Southwest City Dog Park located within this vast facility. Let your pooch romp and play off-leash with other canines in the fenced area. An annual membership is required for the dog park, and your pal needs to be up to date on vaccinations.

Mackenzie
In the village of Mackenzie, located about 3 miles north of Wilbur Park, you and Fido can access the River des Peres Greenway for some outdoor recreation. This paved trail stretches for 7.6 miles from the metrolink station in Shrewsbury Lansdown to Lemay and Carondelet Parks. With flat and gently sloping areas on the pathway, you’ll be able to walk or jog with your four-footed pal to get some fresh air and exercise. If you want a quiet spot for a picnic, head over to Mackenzie Hills Park. Dogs are permitted in these city parks as long as they’re on a leash up to six feet long.

Central Crestwood
Head about five miles west from Wilbur Park to the city of Crestwood to give your four-footed friend some pawesome of outdoor experiences. This fur-iendly city has seven community parks where you and Fido can stretch your legs together. Try out one of the area’s two largest facilities, Whitecliff Park or Crestwood Park, to find acres of green space and walking trails that you can explore with your pooch. Leashed dogs are welcome in the city parks. For some off-leash play time, head over to Kitun Dog Park and let your canine companion romp in the two-acre, fenced facility. There are separate play areas for large and small pups.

Concord
Directly to the west of Wilbur Park, you and Fido can find some pupful outdoor recreation in the community of Concord. Head over to Officer Blake C. Snyder Memorial Park and go jogging or walking on the trails that wind through the park. You can select from seven different pathways within this 117-acre facility. Walk along Bottom Lands Trail by the banks of Gravois Creek with your furry friend. This trail links with Grants Trail, an 8-mile paved pathway that runs through the county. Dogs are permitted in the park and on the trail as long as they are on a leash up to six feet long and you pick up after them.

Wilbur Park
Wilbur Park is a small residential neighborhood located southwest of St. Louis. In this quiet area, you and your four footed-pal can enjoy a walk along the tree-lined streets. Take Fido up Mathilda Avenue to Mathilda-Welmering Park where you can explore the outdoors. This small facility has a playground, fields, and a place to have a little picnic. Dogs are welcome in the park provided you keep them on a leash no longer than six feet and you pick up their waste. After you get your exercise, head over to Mr. Wizard Frozen Custard and sample a treat at one of the pet-friendly outdoor tables.
