Redstone

In the town of Conway, just south of Intervale, lies the village of Redstone, named for its beautiful red granite rocks. Although small, this village offers a dog-friendly park which is the perfect place to relax with your pawtastic pup. Head to Redstone Park where you can walk along the well-maintained landscaped grounds, view its lovely flower gardens, and meander along its wide, paved walkways. Perfect for a small or elderly dog, these flat paths make for a great outing. Be sure to keep your pup leashed in this public space, and don't water and clean up bags.

Bartlett

The town of Bartlett, just west of Intervale, has three small, dog-friendly parks that would be a perfect place to spend some quality time with your fur-ever friend. Try Precinct Park and relax by the flowing water fountain on the grassy areas. Or head to Gazebo Park or Veterans Park, and take a walk around or sit under a tree and read a book. In summer, the Attitash Mountain Ski Resort allows dogs to be walked on leash throughout this spectacular mountain area. Be sure to pack a picnic lunch and water while visiting all the area’s outdoor recreational parks.

Jackson

Dog-friendly Crawford Notch State Park is the place to visit with your pawtastic friend in the town of Jackson, north of Intervale. With over 5,775 acres of activities, you and Fido will find something fun to do anytime. Swimming, skiing, and walking are all features here. Hike the short 1/2-mile Ripley Falls Trail which runs past a 100-foot waterfall. Or try the trail heading to Arethusa Falls, which is the tallest waterfall in the state. Continue this trail throughout its 4-mile journey. This would be a wonderful place to take a picnic lunch. Remember, your pup must be leashed throughout the park.

North Conway

North Conway is a neighborhood in the town of Conway, south of Intervale. Take your pup to Whitaker Woods Park featuring hiking trails, lots of open space and restrooms! Or try Echo Lake State Park for a full day’s adventure together. Your pup will love hiking the trails around the lake, climbing to the top of Cathedral Ledge, or swimming in the lake’s cool waters. Winter activities include ice-wall climbing and cross-country skiing on their wide trails. Restrooms are on-site. Afterwards, head to one of the eleven dog-friendly restaurants including the Flatbread Co, Brandlis, the Black Cap Grill, or McGrath’s Tavern!

Conway Town Center

The Walker Pond Conservation Land is located in the Town Center neighborhood of the town of Conway, south of Intervale. These 14 acres of land are full of dog-friendly recreation, such as a boat launch, sports courts, a playground and picnic tables, as well as a swimming area on the Saco River. Or head to Conway-Redstone Mitigation Land for a full day’s hike. Walk on the many trails throughout this and the adjacent Green Hills Preserve. Take the Pudding Pond Loop Trail past Pudding Pond for an easy, relaxing walk. Be sure to keep Fido on leash at all locations.
