Edgewood Avenue
Edgewood Avenue is home to Hastings-on-Hudson’s largest park, Hillside Park. This 52-acre wooded park has hiking trails that allow dogs on-leash. These trails pass by beautiful streams and ponds, and you’ll also get views of the Hudson River from the western side of the park. Edgewood Avenue is also home to the Hillside Woods, which border Hillside Park to the west. This 48-acre woodland area has one major trail called the Algonquin Loop. This trail takes you through the forest and past the ruins of an old settler’s home. Hillside Park and Hillside Woods are both furiffic places to take your dog for a long walk!

If you’re looking for a great view of the Hudson River, this neighborhood is perfect for you. Check out MacEachron Park, a small park with benches that provide stunning views of the river and the Palisades across the way. The park also has a grassy area where you can walk your pup. After you’re done walking, take your dog over for a tasty meal at Maud’s Tavern. This restaurant has a dog-friendly outdoor seating area, and they serve delicious seafood, steaks, burgers, and sandwiches. They also have a popular brunch on Sundays. If you’re looking for a place to let your pup off-leash, head to the White Plains Bark Park. This park is located about 12 miles from Hastings-on-Hudson, and it includes separate small and large dog areas. The park has a doggie water fountain, and there are doggie bags available. There are also plenty of benches for owners to relax on. Once your pup is all finished running around, bring them over to Serafina for lunch.
