Mosquito Lake State Park

Mosquito Lake State Park in Greater Cortland is about 6.3 miles west of Fowler. If you love nature, you and Fido will have a pawtastic time exploring the property. There are 2,483 acres of forest and wetlands here. You can go boating, hiking, fishing or camping with your special pal in this vast facility. You'll also find picnic areas and a dog park on the grounds. The fenced area has sections for large and small dogs. Let your pooch play off-leash for a while, then hook up the lead to roam on the pathways together. Carry water and bags for waste with you.

Timber Creek

The Timber Creek neighborhood of Cortland is 4.7 miles east of town. This neighborhood features well-kept single-family homes with large yards, making it pawfect for fur families. Just north of this quiet residential area, off Warren Meadville Road, you'll find a furrific place for you and your best friend to play. Check out Imagination Station Park on the eastern shore of Mosquito Creek Lake. This facility has two baseball fields, a playground, some open space, and a walking path that circles the property. Take a few loops on the trail with Spot. Keep your four-footed friend on a lead while you're here. Remember to bring bags and water with you.

Venice Heights

You'll find the neighborhood of Venice Heights about eight miles northwest of Fowler. There are apartment buildings, single-family homes, public schools, and a hospital here. Bring your fur-baby to stroll with you along partially wooded lots in the area. Another pawesome place to stretch your legs is Howland Township Park off Rosegarden Drive, NE. In this 172-acre property, you'll find athletic fields, a playground, pavilions, and a nature trail boardwalk to explore. Wander through the facility with your canine companion here. Keep them under control on a lead. Have bags with you so that you can pick up their waste.

Mecca Township

Mecca Township has single-family homes, an area high school, some businesses, and lakeside retreats. Walk down country lanes with your four-footed friend out here. There's a boat dock by the Greenville Road bridge where you can launch into Mosquito Creek Lake. Take time to stretch your legs with your pooch at Mecca Park off OH-46. You'll find ball fields, a playground, a picnic shelter, and a paved pathway in the facility. Jog around the property or play ball with your special pal. Make sure you control pets with a tether. Pack bags to pick up any droppings left by your dog.

Vernon

The village of Vernon is about 9.8 miles northeast of Fowler. This rural area includes farms, country estates, and a fire department. You'll find a pawtastic recreational facility immediately east of here. Spend time exploring the Shenango Wildlife Area with your furry friend. The vast natural property includes a fishing creek, a waterfowl marsh, some hiking trails, and some wildlife viewing sections. Explore the area with your leashed pooch. The land is available to the public for hunting, so make sure to plan your visit accordingly. You may also use this region to train your hunting buddy between September and April.
