Pine Grove Borough Center
All pooches love to be outdoors and exploring new places; so why not pay a visit to Canal Park when you are in Pine Grove? This is a puptastic spot where you can relax in the sunshine in the grass around a scenic lake. There are plenty of trees for your pup to investigate, as well as picnic tables in the shade where you can chill out. In addition, there is the Pine Grove Community Pool here where the kids can have fun while you walk the dog. Since there are roads on both sides of this park, it is best to keep your furry friend on leash.

- If you need a place to stay when
you are in Pine Grove, there are some pawsome dog friendly hotels
in the Ravine neighborhood. The Hampton Inn offers a comfortable stay for you and two pups of
any size for a small additional fee. For a retreat from the hustle and
bustle of the city, check out the Twin Grove Resort and Campground. All pooches
are welcome here, as long as they remain on leash. There are also some dog
friendly cottages and cabins available here, which is sure to make your furry
friend feel right at home.

De Turksville/ Roedersville
When you are in Pine Grove, you have got to visit the State Game Lands Number 160 with your pooch. Here you can wander through 245 acres of forest land, with sniff-tastic trails you can hike and enjoy bird watching and spotting wildlife. Your pup will love to investigate all of the new sights and scents of nature! If you prefer to hunt, there are oppawtunities for hunting turkey, squirrels and rabbits here. Be sure to put on some hiking boots and bring tasty treats for your pooch, as you can easily spend all day exploring the State Game Lands Number 160!

Fort Indiantown Gap
Only a couple of miles west of Pine Grove, Jonestown provides a nice getaway. For a leisurely stroll, you can enjoy the Stony Valley Railroad Grade trail. Here you can retreat and enjoy peaceful surroundings with your dog and expend some excitable energy. It is best to keep your pooch on leash, as bikes can use this trail too. Leash pups are also welcome at Swatara State Park. There is a sniff-tastic loop trail through the forests, which is around nine miles long and perfect for exercising your pooch. You can spot plenty of wildlife and enjoy the beauty of wild flowers, as well as picturesque views.
Tremont
Only seven miles north of Pine Grove is the town of Tremont. Here you can take your pup on an adventure to the State Game Lands Number 229. This is a pawsome 2,891 acre area that is known locally by many names, such as Fountain Mountain or Indian Head. Here you can go on scenic hikes with your furry friend and enjoy the peacefulness of the forest. In addition, you are able to hunt here. There is grouse, rabbits, pheasants and deer to test your skills. Be sure to bring some treats and water for your pup to keep their energy levels high!
