Bow Wow Beach Dog Park (at Silver Springs Park) - Stow

Bow Wow Beach Dog Park spans 7.5 acres at the Silver Springs Park in Stow, Ohio. This fenced in, dog-friendly area has been open since 2007 and is a favorite go-to spot for many dog lovers in the area. It is owned by the City of Stow and managed by Stow's Park and Recreation who do constant maintenance to keep the area looking and running smoothly. A mixture of both sandy beaches, lake water, and grassy areas ensures there is a place for everyone to enjoy! 

This off-leash dog park contains 3-acres of lake that allows your doggy to take a good dip in the water. Humans are not permitted to get in the water, though, so be sure that your pooch is responsive to voice commands. 

If you and/or your dog needs a rest, there are 4.5 acres of grassy and sandy areas for downtime. After your pup is done swimming, the park offers dog wash stations to give them a good clean before heading home. To ensure the safety of all, the park incorporates a separate area for small dogs (anyone 35 lbs and under). 

The park officials have outlined rules and procedures that all dog owners must adhere by to include the following - 

• No food of any kind allowed in the park.
• Ensure all park gates are closed. 
• Humans under 48" tall aren't allowed in the dog park.
• No puppies under 4 months are permitted.
• Unhealthy dogs or dogs in heat are not permitted.
• A limit of 3-dogs/person is in effect.
• Dogs must have collars with identification at all times. 
• No choke or pinch collars are allowed in the park. 
• Dogs must be current on immunizations and have a current license. 

Keep in mind that the park is not staffed and it is your responsibility as the owner to monitor your dog at all times. Should your dog show any aggression, it is mandatory that you remove them from the park right away. The park asks that you keep your pooch on a leash when entering and exiting the park. That leash must also remain with the owner at all times in case an emergency arises. Try to be mindful of others and clean up your dog's messes. There are waste stations located all around the park for easy disposal.
