Calvert Cliffs State Park Beach
You can comb the coastline in search of sharks' teeth or fossils with Fido right by your side, then take a dip in the bay's refreshing waters after you've worked up a good lather. Whatever you plan to do, you can do it together because Fido is welcome in all areas of Calvert Cliffs State Park Beach too! Since Maryland does have strict leash laws in place and staying fur-iendly with the local paw patrol is always a good idea, you'll want to make sure your fave canine pal is on his lead at all times.
There is a daily fee of $5 required to enter Calvert Cliffs State Park Beach, but you'll be glad you shelled out the bucks, for sure, as there is so much to do at this pawsitively awesome spot, you'll need a week to discover it all! The beach's stunning cliffs are definitely worth hiking out to, but bear in mind that the beach portions located underneath them are closed due to landslides. For the safety of you and your favorite pooch too, resist temptation and stay away. There are lots of other beach areas you can safely enjoy  here with your best canine pal in tow. The fishing at this beach is furrific too. Be sure to pack your rod, reel, and some bait for a day out on the water searching for your next big catch!
Calvert Cliffs State Park Beach is also home to 13 miles of hiking trails, a playground made out of recycled tires, as well as picnic areas which feature barbecues for the paw-blic to use. You can enjoy a barbecued feast from your perch on the coastline. But don't forget to pack some snacks and bottled water for Fido too. While you're at it, grab a cleanup sack or two as you will need them.
