Chris Greene Lake Park

Upon approaching the main beach parking lot, there will be a dog park sign on your right-hand side. This trail will lead you to the 1-acre expansion of dog-friendly shore-line that Chris Greene Lake Park has to offer. The entire area is fenced in, so if your pooch is a runner, don't worry! This park is raved about by past and present visitors. Not only is this an off-leash beach where your furry best friend can swim, but it also offers a wooded area! What more could you want in a dog park?

The wooded portion creates great shade for both you and your pup to cool off in after a hard day of playing fetch. The water area only allows dog swimming; therefore, you cannot swim along-side your dog. As dogs like to argue over toys, please bring treats and balls at your own risk. No long-lasting chew bones are accepted. During peak seasons, it is asked that you do not stay more than 1.5 hours in the off-leash area. This will allow everyone and their canines to enjoy the fun. 

It is pertinent that your dog is under your full control at all times. If your pooch isn't trained to listen to voice commands or has poor behavior, they are not recommended to be off-leash at the park. There is a limit of 2 dogs per owner and puppies under the age of 4 as well as any dog in heat is prohibited from entering the park. 

Ensure to bring some water to hydrate your pupper! Upon exiting the off-leash area, your doggo must be on a leash. The rest of the park has other enjoyable activities that your dog can accompany you on, as long as they are on-leash. This includes 3 miles of hiking trails and multiple picnic tables.
