This beautiful rural treasure is divided into two sections. The Manor Area is home to a bird sanctuary, camping, and historic sites. The William Houck section contains access to the South Beach's sandy shores and swimming area. There are also lots of woofderful camping spots to be had near the beach as well. Though Fido is not permitted access to the beach from Memorial Day through Labor Day, he is more than welcome at all other times of year, and he can freely enjoy all of the on-premise trails year-round. This beach and park observes seasonal hours, and is open April - October from 8 AM until sunset, and November - March from 10 AM until sunset.

There is a $5 daily fee to access the beach and recreational area, but the cost of entry comes with some pawsitively awesome perks! The daily pass entitles you to 10 percent off snacks and treats at the camp store, as well as renting a kayak or canoe. Pawr-kig is limited at this pawrific beach, so be sure to arrive early as park officials turn away people and their pooches when they are at max capacity.
