Hither Hills State Park Beach

Looking for a great Montauk getaway to take Fido and the whole family? Why not stop by Hither Hills State Park and visit it's woofderful beach? One of several Long Island beaches, Hither Hills State Park's beach offers a beautiful coastline and crisp waters ripe for people and their pooches to enjoy. Be sure to bring some water shoes with you if you plan to take the plunge as the ground is lined with pebbles which can be hard on the tender tootsies. Fido may join you for a swim or even just a stroll on the sand, but he must remain on a lead. 

There are lots of pawsome things to enjoy with your best canine pal at the Hither Hills State Park beach. The sandy shores are just ten minutes from a historic lighthouse worthy of a visit. There is also a general store and snack bar on the grounds in case you forgot to pack a picnic lunch to share. Don't forget to bring a beach bag with bottled water, Scooby snacks, and some cleanup bags as you will need these items for your day of beach fun! 

There is a $10 paw-rking fee to use the on-premise lot. Be sure to arrive early to claim a spot as the parking area fills up quickly! There are many pawsitively awesome things that you can do with your best canine pal at Hither Hills State Park beach. Among the most pawpular activities are hiking, picnicking, biking, fishing, nature walks, and even horseback riding though Fido might want to keep his horse adventures limited to prancing beside a pony on the ground. There is also a playground that is pawrfect to keep the kiddoes entertained for hours! Bathrooms are available on the premises, and they include showers for the paw-blic to use. There are also grills on-site in case you fancy a barbecued feast for you and Fido to enjoy. 

If camping was what you had in mind, you can pull your RV almost up to where the water meets the coast! A stunning view awaits you and your favorite pal each morning as you open your eyes to catch a glimpse of the sun glinting off the crystal waters.
