Imperial Beach City Beach offers the opportunity for you to explore two places for the price of one. Situated very near to the Mexico border, you can spend the morning visiting Tijuana, then grab your swimsuit and head straight for the Pacific Ocean with Fido in tow. Though the water is safe for swimming, it is advised that you and your favorite canine pal avoid the areas where the Tijuana River flows into the ocean as it is quite polluted there.
Some of the most interesting activities you can enjoy at this pawsitively awesome beach are swimming, fishing, bird watching, and long walks on the property's pier and long dock. There is also a furific Farmers Market held on the grounds on Fridays, and local restaurants are just a short stroll from the beach; many of which offer patios where Fido can join you during your meal. Don't forget to pack bottled water and a snack for your best canine buddy to enjoy. Be sure to include some clean up bags as there are none available on the premises. If photography is your thing, you can capture breathtaking views of the Los Coronados Islands from the shores of the beach.
If a day at a pawrific beach is what you are looking for, you won't be disappointed at Imperial Beach City Beach. It's doggone pawesome!
