Kapaeloa Beach

Looking for a quiet place to take your pooch for a day of beach fun? Why not stop by Hawaii's Kapaeloa Beach? It's a puppy paradise! Nestled along Hawaii's famous North Shore, you will find this pawrific beach just off the famed Kamehameha Highway. Pawrking is available for free along the side streets just off the highway. You will easily spot this pawsome sandy haven located next to Kawailoa Beach, and bordered by Uppers Beach Park on the opposite side. Your pooch is warmly welcomed to join you in all areas of this wooftastic seaside haven, but you must keep Fido on his leash at all times. 

To get to the beach, you and your best canine pal will need to carefully climb down a fairly steep set of rocks. Once you reach the bottom, you will find lots of pawtastically beautiful white sand that is the pawrfect spot to catch up on your suntan or take a leisurely stroll with your main canine squeeze. Bring along some drinking water and clean-up bags as none are provided at this doggone amazing beach haven. 

Though your pooch is permitted to join you the warm Hawaiian waters, swimming is not encouraged at Kapaeloa Beach due to the rough, rocky bottom which is hard on canine and human tootsies alike. The current can also be very strong here. Feel free to dip your feet in the water's edge as you and your fave pooch meander along the shore in search of treasures. 

If you fancy a picnic lunch, bring along a blanket to lay out in the sand, as well as a packed snack or meal from home for you and Fido to enjoy. Don't forget to make a visit to your fave doggo dogtor before your beach adventure, as this barking great beach does require that all pooches be current on vaccinations.
