Kiddie Beach Park

If the warm breeze of summer is calling your name, you'll want to plan a visit to the Kiddie Beach Park! Located within the Channel Islands Harbor and near to the Silver Strand neighborhood, this woofderful beach is a favorite spot for people and their pooches looking to enjoy a day of fun in the sun. Wedged between Silver Strand Beach and Hobie Beach, Kiddie Beach Park is the only beach area inside the channel that allows swimming, so grab your barkini and best canine pal and head straight for the open waves. Doggy paddling never looked so good! 

Though the sandy shoreline is relatively small, you will still have plenty of room for a romp in the sand with Fido by your side. There are lots of furrific things you can do with your fave pooch at Kiddie Beach Park. Among some of the more pawpular activities are strolling the sands and adjacent boardwalk, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and picnicking. You will want to be sure to check the water report before heading for a day in the ocean as the water at Kiddie Beach Park is sometimes contaminated with bacteria that makes swimming hazardous. 

From the banks of the beach, you will be able to enjoy pawmazing views of the sailboats that travel in and out of the ocean waters, a tranquil way to spend an afternoon with your favorite pooch perched by your side. Don't forget to pack your beach day essentials including bottled water, some Scooby snacks, and clean-up bags. There are pawblic bathrooms available on the grounds, and there is also plenty of free parking. Since California does have strict leash laws, you'll want to make sure you keep your pup on leash at all times, even in the water.
