The only catch? La Jolla Shores beach has a few, very strict rules that doggos and their owners must abide by to enjoy the area. Your pup has to be leashed at all times (preferably on a leash that reaches a maximum of 6 feet) and you're only able to enjoy the beach at certain, special, doggo-approved hours.
It's not all that bad, though! You and your leashed dog are allowed on La Jolla Shores Beach together before 9 am and after 4 pm anytime from November 1 through March 31, and then after 6 pm from April 1 to October 31. There are plenty of bathrooms, shower stations, free parking (if you can find it), volleyball courts, surfing, and of course, plenty of other dogs for your pooch to meet and romp around with. All La Jolla Shores asks is that you not only abide by those set rules, but also ensure you're always cleaning up after your dog!
