Morro Strand State Beach

Morro Strand State Beach is located in Morro Strand State Park, which is in Morro Bay, California. It is a large beach that features tons of natural wonders and amenities. There is a 3-mile stretch of sand between the North and South entrances of the beach. 

There is plenty of parking in the beach lots as this is a popular destination for beachgoers and locals who do not want to deal with the crowds of people who congregate at the beach up the street. If you'd like to relax on a quieter beach and take a long stroll along the sand next to the ocean, this is the beach for you and your pup!

This is a soft sand beach, with calm waters and gorgeous views, and it is quieter than many of the other beaches surrounding this area. You can view massive rock formations, known as Morro Rock, in the distance from this beach, where there are far fewer crowds. 

Morro Strand features a beach within this state park, a campground for tents and RV's, horseback riding on the trails throughout the park, places to have a picnic, fishing, swimming, windsurfing, regular surfing, and a wonderful, large beach area. This park and beach also have convenient restrooms, outdoor showers for after spending the day at the beach, and fresh drinking water from fountains as well. We also love that this beach and park is wheelchair accessible. 

People love to take their dogs to this easy walking beach and stroll the shore with them. As long as your pooch stays on-leash and you are mindful of other beachgoers, you two should have a wonderful time.
