Mussel Rock Park Beach is known for its rocky coastline, sand beach section, furrifically serene ocean vistas, and abundant trails. When it comes to pawsome things to do with your main canine squeeze, this woofderful seaside retreat has got it all!
There is free pawrking available in a lot reserved for visitors to the park. A path leads downhill from the pawrking area to the beach. You will find it is about a ten minute walk. At the bottom of the path, you will find a sign which says "Do Not Enter--Eroding Cliff." However, there is a small ledge that you and your pup can climb down to access the beach areas. Most of the coastal sections are very rocky with a little bit of sand, so you will need good shoes to protect your feet, and keep an eye on your pooch's tender tootsies! At the north end of the park, you will find a section of beach which has much more sand and is suitable for sunbathing, picnicking, or even for you and your pooch to dip your feet in the warm Pacific waters.Â
Mussel Rock Park Beach is a great place for paragliding, hang gliding, hiking, walking, birdwatching, or beachcombing. You and your fave pooch can also do some swimming when the current isn't wooftastically strong. The views from the cliffs are furrifically scenic. You might even catch view of seals and falcons which make this beach their home. Bring along some drinking water and cleanup bags as you will need them here!
