Noyo Harbor Dog Beach - Fort Bragg

This beach has truly gone to the dogs - no, really, it's specifically for the doggos in the Fort Bragg and surrounding areas, and the pawrents and pooches who live nearby (or visit) couldn't be happier about it. Located at the north side of the Noyo River Mouth in Fort Bragg, California, Noyo provides pups and their humans a sandy beach to walk along, water to play in, and plenty of space to roam around leash-free. That's right, we said leash free, and we're certainly not pulling your tail on that one.

While you and your pooch might be accustomed to attending leashed dog beaches, we assure you, one visit to an off-leash dog beach and you'll be spoiled rotten forever. Noyo Harbor Beach may look like just a sandy strip, but it's a hugely popular place for people and their canine companions to gather at, swim, sunbath, fish, canoe, kayak, and try out their standup paddleboards (try to get your pooch on one of those, we've seen it!). 

There's free parking, restrooms available, and plenty of roaming pups, so make sure your doggo is on his or her best behavior around other pups before you let them run around off leash. The coolest part about this beach? You and your pup can explore the drift logs that wash up off the bay - they're the perfect beach-tossed items to sniff around, but you and your doggo can also sit on them together and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Make sure that you come prepared with doggo bags in order to clean up after your pooch's mess! Enjoy the Noyo River Beach with your doggo!
