The beach can be accessed from a stairwell on the west end of Pearl Street. There is free street parking in the area, but it's fairly limited. Why not walk to the beach if possible? Your canine companion will enjoy working up a sweat before taking a dip in the ocean. There are no facilities here, but the rugged, natural views more than make up for it.Â
Although dogs are not allowed on the beach during the daytime in the summer, they are welcome outside of these times for a refreshing morning stroll, or to catch a gorgeous sunset. Your doggo is likely to enjoy some pawsitive socialization and make some furry friends. When the tide is out and the waves aren't too big, your curious pupper can sniff around and explore the many tide pools. At low tide you can continue the adventure by walking underneath the arch, and over a rocky shelf that leads to Woods Cove Beach.Â
The beach is quite rocky, with reefs on the north and south ends. There is a lifeguard, but swimmers and doggy paddlers are asked to use caution. There is no climbing, jumping, or diving permitted off of Arch Rock. Pups are welcome with two paws during the designated times, but please keep your pal leashed and picked up after at all times.Â
Pearl Street Beach is a treat for humans and canines alike!Â
