The Rio Del Mar Beach starts in the waterfront area at the end of Rio Del Mar Boulevard. Then, it continues south for almost a mile onto Beach Drive, all the way to the end.Â
The best part about this awesome mile stretch of beach? You and your doggo can walk around all over the entire thing. The beach does require that you and your pooch abide by certain rules and regulations, of course. The beach, first and foremost, asks that you keep your doggo leashed at all time. You and your pup can splash around in the water and bound through the sand, but please don't release your doggo to free run on the beach. The beach doesn't specify how long your dog's leash should be, but we recommend no longer than eight feet to keep everyone happy.
The only other requirement the beach has is that you clean up after your pooch every, single time. Make sure you're prepared with doggo bags! There are restrooms, showers, picnic areas, fire pits, and of plenty of space to play. Be prepared to pay the $10 parking fee and make sure you and your dog are ready for a fun day out on the water!
