The bay waters are the ideal spot for you to take the plunge and enjoy a vigorous swim. While dogs aren't allowed in the crisp, clean waters of the bay and on the sandy shoreline during the busy tourist season, from October 1st to April 30th, your pup can kick up the sand and take a dip with you. Just be sure to keep your best canine bud on his leash at all times.

The Sandy Point State Park Beach is the pawrfect spot for a picnic lunch. Whether you plan to catch some fresh fish from the banks of the bay, pick up a light snack at one of the food stands, or bring a packed lunch, you'll find a meal along the coast a pawrific delight. Don't forget to bring along some Scooby snacks, bottled water, and cleanup bags. There are paw-blic bathrooms on the premises and even some outdoor showers where you can hose the extra sand from Fido's fur before heading for home.
Depending on the time of year, fees to enjoy this pawtastic beach vary. During the busy season, its $4 to per person on weekdays, and $5 per person on the weekend. If you are cruising by with your dog during the off season, however, the fee is only $3 per car.
