Description
Seacliff State Beach is located in Aptos, California. This is a favorite beach for fishing because it has a large fishing pier. It is also rich with history as the freighter was built during World War I for use in the war. Although this part is closed to the public since 1932, you can still enjoy the fishing pier.

The actual beach is also quite popular as well since it provides some excellent swimming for humans and doggies alike!

This beach features an extensive stretch of sand, and it is back up by stunning bluffs that are picture-perfect. You will also find a covered area that is perfect for picnicking as it can shelter you from some of the wind from the ocean and the hot, blazing summer sun. This is also a great spot to take photos, whale watch, walk on the beach, catch a sunset, surf, and bird watch.

You will also enjoy the soft, sandy beaches. Dogs are allowed on the beach and in the water any time of year, at all hours of the day, but they must always wear their leash. Dogs are never allowed to be off-leash since this is a favorite beach for humans and other dogs looking to relax in the sun, play in the water, and walk along to beach enjoying the scenery. There are no poop bags provided at this beach, so you must bring your own to pick up after your dog when they are done going to the bathroom.

Overall, Seacliff Beach is an awesome beach for those looking to enjoy the soft sand, great surf, and also to take in some cool history and learn about the freighter that sits half-sunken in the sand.
