South Edison Beach

One of several Montauk beaches, South Edison Beach is housed on prime real estate and is located just a short walk from the local shops, restaurants, and hotels, making it an ideal spot to spend a relaxing day with Fido and the family.

This sandy paradise offers the best in New York sun and surf. You can stroll along the coast with Fido by your side in search of vacation treasures, or practice your doggy paddling skills alongside your best canine pal in the waters of the Sound. Though Fido is warmly welcomed in all areas of this New York coastal gem, the local paw-lice do expect that he remain on a leash at all times. 

Many adventures await you and your favorite furry companion at South Edison Beach! Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day through Labor Day to ensure all swimmers of the canine and the human sort remain protected. The Sound waters are also a great place for you to enjoy some water sports including kayaking and canoeing. 

If you fancy yourself more of a landlubber, grab Fido's leash and head out for a pawsome day of exploration. Just be careful on the sand dunes. Though they were recently reinforced, they can still be unstable. If lunch is weighing heavily on your mind, you can take a little stroll to one of the area restaurants or enjoy a picnic on the beach. Don't forget to pack some Scooby Snacks for Fido and some bottled water and clean up bags too!

There is no public parking available at this park, so you will need to plan ahead to source a place to leave your car. Most visitors to this beach prefer to walk to the property. It is unknown if there are bathrooms provided on the grounds for the pawblic to use.
