While there are no restrooms or showers, this beach provides pawsome access to the Pacific Ocean and a pawrific natural setting that features towering cliffs with homes perched furmazingly close to the edge, lifeguards in the summer, and an expanse of lovely sand with furtastic ocean views. Sunsets are especially furtabulous! The beach is quite narrow at high tide, although thankfully it doesn't disappear entirely, so be sure to keep that in mind when planning your visit.Â
Free street parking is available, along with three free small public lots near the beach stairs hat provide easy access for the casual beach bum or the stay-all-day families with their furry buddies in tow, along with their picnic baskets and beach chairs. Because winter in this part of San Diego County is only a few degrees cooler than summer, this is a year-round playground! Stick around until dusk and you'll be treated to a metamorphosis from sunny days to foggy, cloudy late afternoons and evenings as the air cools.Â
Remember to bring doggy waste bags and pick up after your pooch. Also come prepared with water and sunscreen, a few snacks, a towel to dry off a wet pupper, and a 6-foot leash when required, and everyone will have a furtabulous time!
