While there is no entrance fee, the year round parking fee in this area is $1.25 per hour. There are no restrooms or showers at the beach, but what this park lacks in amenities, it makes up for with natural beauty and greenery.Â
The beach is located in the northwest tip of the peninsula, about half a mile from the parking lot. While you enjoy the gorgeous skyline and harbor views, your pup can romp around and roughhouse with other furry pals in the sand. After working up a sweat, Fido can take a splash in the water to cool off. There is a leash requirement in this park, so be sue to keep your pupper on it!Â
Some other activities available in the surrounding park include fishing off the pier, picnicking, bird watching, canoeing and kayaking. There are paved pathways along the old runways that are easy on the paws and the eyes. After getting your workout on these pathways, you and your pal can take a dip at the beach.Â
Pet parents are asked to pick up after their pooch so that all may continue to use this beach. There are trash receptacles, but don't forget to brings some doggy waste bags!Â
