Fido may join you to practice his very best swimming moves in the water alongside his fave person. California does enforce strict leash laws, so to avoid any ruff encounters with the paw-lice, you'll want to keep your pooch leashed at all times.
There is a $5 fee for parking at Thornhill Broome Beach, but once you enter the grounds, you'll see it was worth every penny as there are so many pawrifcally awesome things to do here! You can swim, body surf, windsurf, and kiteboard in the abundant ocean spray. Fancy doing something on the land? There are over 70 miles of hiking trails to explore with your best canine bud by your side.
Feeling a little on the hungry side? A picnic along the coast may be just what the dog-tor had in mind! Whether you catch your own lunch in the ocean. or pack one from home, you'll love breathing in the view from your beach chair on the shore. Don't forget to pack some bottled water and snacks for Fido too. While you're at it, be sure to include some cleanup bags in your beach bag!
There are campsites available for rent at Thornhill Broom Beach and all of them provide direct access to the ocean. What a furrific view you will see when you open your eyes each morning! Bathrooms are housed on the grounds for the paw-blic.
