This beach is located just below Neptune Place in La Jolla, San Diego. Here you'll find a parking lot with ten spots, or if those are full, street parking. If you're parking on residential streets, be sure to check the street signs and respect driveways. From the parking area, you can take some stairs down the steep bluff to the beach. The sandstone bluffs make a great partition, offering some privacy for sunbathers and giving the beach a more secluded feel. At the south end of the beach is the iconic Surf Shack. This is a charming shade structure with a palm roof that was designated a historical landmark.
Doggos are only allowed on this beach in the mornings and evenings, but this is pawfect timing for a morning jog along the beach with Fido, or catching a gorgeous sunset over the Pacific Ocean. Winter storms can remove a lot of the sand from this beach, so it may look different throughout the seasons. At low tide, your curious canine will have plenty of space to sniff around and explore.
Windansea Beach welcomes dogs with both paws during the allotted times, so long as they stay leashed and picked up after. Your pup will probably even be able to make some furry friends here. Come enjoy the sun, surf, and salty breeze with your best pal.
