Although the location is wonderful, the RV park itself has tons of amenities and facilities that will make your stay fun and comfortable. You can enjoy restrooms with flushing toilets, showers, a gift shop, laundry room, and a convenience store to pick up all of your essentials, plus delicious snacks and drinks, of course! The gift shop has an abundance of souvenirs and handmade items that are perfect for remembering your trip. Each site has a paved area, a dump station for your trash, and BBQ grills for cooking. There is plenty of shady tree coverage as well as, grassy areas, and tons of places to walk and hike.
Only being 1 mile north of Redcrest, this park sits right on the famous Avenue of the Giants, and the infamous 1,000-year-old tree that has survived every natural disaster possible sits on this property. This park is also located right near the Founders Grove, Rockefeller Forest, and Humboldt Redwoods State Park Visitor Center.
Dogs are welcome at this location, but they must be kept on a leash at all times. Dogs are not welcome in the restrooms or any of the common areas. You must make sure your dog is well behaved and can abide by the quiet hours in the campground as well. That means no barking Fido throughout the night! Always pick up after your dog when they are done going to the bathroom to keep the site clean and pretty for all of the other guests.
Overall, Ancient Redwoods RV Park is a great place to stay. It is in the perfect location to all of the local attractions and hiking spots. With spacious parking spots and clean facilities, you will not want to miss this place!
