The campground is also conveniently located just north of the town of Truckee, and it has access to lots of great outdoor recreation sites. The campground is composed of three group sites, providing options for different group sizes. One of the sites can accommodate up to 50 people, and the other two can accommodate up to 25 people. The two smaller sites have a nightly fee of $88, and the larger site has a fee of $143. The campground’s amenities include picnic tables, food lockers, fire rings, and tap water. The sites all have ample shade from the surrounding forest, so you don’t have to worry about excessive sun exposure.

The campground is a great place to spend time relaxing, taking in the scenery, and enjoying the company of your dog. You might, however, want to venture out and take advantage of the great outdoor activities available nearby. Head to Jackson Meadows Reservoir to go fishing or boating. If bird watching is more your thing, you can stop by Sierra County or Kyburz Marsh. You might even be able to spot a bald eagle! There are also some great trails in the area as well as historical sites from the Gold Rush.

When you’re staying at Aspen Group Campground, remember to keep your dog leashed at all times. Also note that you are in an active bear zone, so you should store and dispose of food carefully.
