Come and explore the 5,000-acre Badin Lake in North Carolina with your pooch, where you'll be surrounded by towering pines and hardwood trees. At Badin Lake Campground, water recreation awaits you and pup, coupled with amenities and perks aimed to add comfort to your stay. Â
This vacation destination is ideal for the whole family, including your four-legged companion. While at Badin Lake, you're asked to keep your pup on a leash at all times to ensure a "pawsitive" experience for all guests. You're also reminded to tidy up any mess made by your pup and to manage their behavior at all times. Dogs are not to be left unattended at any time, but they're welcome to join you while you explore the many miles of Badin Lake.
At the lake, you can look forward to partaking in a variety of water activities. Boating is a visitor favorite, as the calm lake water is perfect for any kind of boat or water vehicle. With a boat ramp conveniently located only two miles away, as well as the option to launch your vessel from the shore, accessing the water is made simple at this location.
Anglers will be delighted to learn the water is stocked with bream, crappie, bass, and even catfish. Feel free to keep what you catch for a delightful campfire meal. Swimming and sunbathing are other camper favorites, along with having a picnic right on the beach. Dogs are permitted to cool off in the lake water as well, so have fun and hit the waves with your pooch.
Campsites are a steal, starting at only $12 per night for single sites. All 35 sites are non-electric and can accommodate RVs, camper trailers, and tents. Sites are spacious and some are right on the lakeshore. The campsites are organized into two loops, with bathhouses available on each loop that come with showers. All sites are equipped with a picnic table, tent pad, lantern post, and fire ring with a grill. Water is available at spigots scattered strategically throughout the campground loops.
Although Badin Lake doesn't have electric and sewage hookups, the forested campground's location right on the lake makes it every outdoor enthusiast’s dream. An authentic feel is what you and your pooch can expect to find while camping under the stars at Badin Lake in North Carolina.
