Bailey Cove is only made up of 7 campsites, so you may want to reserve well in advance if you like to hit the lake at popular times. You'll be able to fit rigs up to 40 feet in length on the sites, and two of the lots are double-sized. Each of the sites comes with its own picnic table, campfire ring, and bear box for storing all of your food and toiletries. There are also tent pads and parking spurs at each space. While there aren't any hookup options here, there is drinking water on-site, saving you lots of hassle!
An obvious draw to this campground is Lake Shasta. Here, you can join other campers as they boat, fish, water ski, or sunbathe the day away. You're also just a quick drive away from the Lake Shasta Caverns, which offers tours for visitors to explore. And your dog will love joining you for a hike on Bailey Cove Trail, a 3-mile path around the shores of the lake. There is also a day-use picnic area on the grounds that comes complete with grills.
Canine campers are very welcome at Bailey Cove -- the campground just asks that you keep your Fido on a standard leash at all times. They also insist that dogs stay overnight in a camping shelter, as bears do frequent the area. Be a good pup advocate and clean up after your woofer's bathroom breaks. This will keep Bailey Cove a great place for campers and their four-legged friends for years to come!
If days on the lake are what you crave, reserve a spot at Bailey Cove for next season.
